Jewish Cemetery

Favorites

A few significant Jewish sites have survived to this day. Among those are the synagogue, the former Jewish school and a Jewish cemetery on the outskirts of nearby village of Sedličky.

This well-preserved Jewish cemetery is located near Jičín-Sedličky, two kilometres from the centre of the town and nearby Wallenstein Loggia. There are more than 350 gravestones from between the 18th and 20th centuries. Some of the gravestones have inscriptions in both Hebrew and Czech. The cemetery is kept under lock and key. The key may be borrowed for a deposit either at the Town Information Centre or in Café Loggie at the Wallenstein Loggia.
